FRAM memory: why it changes the BOM
Its 64 KB of FRAM program memory combines the non-volatility of Flash with the write endurance and speed of RAM — rated for 10^15 write cycles, so it handles frequent data logging or parameter updates without wearing out. The 2 KB of SRAM backs the stack and scratchpad. This part targets industrial sensing, metering, and portable instrumentation where low power and field-reprogrammability matter.
Peripherals and I/O for sensor-heavy designs
The integrated 8-channel 12-bit ADC with DMA can sample and store data without CPU intervention — useful for power-sensitive metering loops. On-chip brown-out reset, POR, and a watchdog timer reduce external supervision ICs.

Lifecycle and ordering
For new designs, this means standard lead times through authorized distribution. Cut Tape quantities are also available for prototyping.
