Industrial temperature range and deployment environments
Rated for -40°C to 85°C, this MCU fits industrial control, outdoor telecom, and engine-bay modules where the ambient temperature swings beyond commercial limits. The 1.8 V to 3.6 V supply range lets it run directly from a 3.6 V lithium cell or a 1.8 V regulated rail, simplifying the power tree in battery-backed designs.
256 KB FRAM — what it means for the BOM
The 256 KB FRAM replaces both Flash program storage and external EEPROM for parameter storage. FRAM writes at bus speed with no erase cycle, so the MCU can log sensor data or update calibration tables in real time without wearing out the memory. This eliminates a separate serial EEPROM from the BOM and saves board space in compact designs.
87-NFBGA package — assembly considerations
The 87-ball NFBGA measures 6 mm x 6 mm. This package requires automated assembly and reflow profiling.
