16 MHz core, 96 KB FRAM — the memory that does not wear out
The MSP430FR5888IRGCT is a 16-bit MCU from the MSP430 FRAM family, clocked at 16 MHz. Its 96 KB FRAM program memory combines code and data storage in a single non-volatile space — no separate EEPROM needed, and the write endurance (10^15 cycles) eliminates the wear-leveling overhead that flash-based designs require for frequent data logging or parameter updates.
The supply range lets this part run directly from a 3.6 V Li-ion cell or a regulated 1.8 V rail without an extra regulator. The internal POR and brown-out detect sequence the core on power-up — no external supervisor IC needed for a reliable reset.
48 I/O and three serial buses — sensor hub ready
The 12-channel 12-bit ADC captures analog signals without an external multiplexer.
