Its program memory is 16 KB of FRAM, not Flash — meaning writes are faster, consume less power, and endurance is effectively unlimited (100 trillion cycles typical). No wear-leveling in firmware; you can log data or update code over the air without worrying about sector endurance. The 1K x 8 RAM handles stack and scratchpad for the 8 MHz core.
Industrial temp and supply — fits battery or line-powered gear
Supply range is 2V to 3.6V — a single Li-ion cell or two alkaline cells powers it directly. The internal oscillator (no external crystal needed for many applications) and the brown-out reset keep things stable during power-up and dropouts.
Peripherals and I/O — enough for a sensor hub or control node
32 I/O lines give you room for a keypad, LED indicators, and sensor interrupts. The 14-channel 10-bit ADC handles analog inputs like thermistors or potentiometers. Connectivity includes I²C, SPI, UART, plus LIN and IrDA — useful for automotive body modules or industrial sensor buses. PWM and watchdog timer are on board.
Comes in a 40-VFQFN with exposed pad (6x6 mm body). The pad needs a thermal via stitch under it if you push continuous current or run near 85°C ambient. Surface-mount only — no socket option for field swaps without hot air.
