FRAM MCU for low-power sensing and control
The MSP430FR5725IRHAR: 16-bit MCU with 8KB FRAM and 1KB RAM. FRAM combines non-volatility with fast writes. The 8 MHz core speed keeps throughput adequate for periodic sensor reads, communication handling, and simple control loops without burning power. The 32 general-purpose I/O lines and a peripheral set including I²C, SPI, UART/USART, IrDA, and LINbus cover the common sensor and actuator interfaces in industrial and building-automation designs.
8KB FRAM — what it means for the design
8KB FRAM, 1KB RAM. Suitable for bootloader, communication stack, and moderate application loop. 14-channel 10-bit ADC included.
