Part identity and key parametrics
It runs at 16 MHz and carries 32.5 KB of FRAM program memory — the non-volatile, fast-write, high-endurance memory that sets this series apart from conventional Flash MCUs — plus 6K x 8 of RAM.
The 105°C ceiling covers engine-bay-adjacent enclosures and factory-floor cabinets without forced cooling.
Peripherals and connectivity
A 12-channel 12-bit SAR ADC handles analog inputs, and the oscillator is internal — no external crystal needed for the core clock.
Package and rework considerations
The 48-LQFP (7x7 mm) is a standard gull-wing leaded package with a 0.5 mm pitch. It reflows cleanly with a typical lead-free profile and is straightforward to hand-rework under a hot-air station — the exposed leads make alignment and inspection easy. No exposed thermal pad on this package, so the primary heat path is through the leads into the PCB copper.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
For new designs this is a low-obsolescence-risk choice.
