FRAM memory — what it changes for the BOM
The 15.5 KB FRAM writes at bus speed with no erase cycle. This eliminates the need for external EEPROM or battery-backed SRAM for data logging.
The 24-ball DSBGA package requires controlled soldering and X-ray inspection.
Connectivity and analog
The 8-channel 10-bit ADC handles analog inputs like thermistors, potentiometers, or current-sense resistors without an external converter. Brown-out detect and POR are on-chip, so external supervisor ICs are optional.
