512B FRAM — the trade-off you need to know
FRAM writes at bus speed with no erase cycle. 512 bytes limits code to simple state machines or single UART protocol handlers.
Peripherals and connectivity for a small footprint
The MCU packs a brown-out detect/reset, POR, PWM, and WDT on-chip, plus IrDA, SCI, SPI, and UART/USART connectivity through 12 general-purpose I/O. The internal oscillator eliminates an external crystal for most timing tasks. The 16-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width) fits tight PCB layouts where board area is at a premium.
