Energy-measurement MCU with integrated ΣΔ ADC and LCD drive
The dual 16-bit ΣΔ ADCs are the headline feature — they sample voltage and current channels simultaneously, which is the core requirement for active-power and reactive-energy computation. The LCD driver directly segments a glass panel, eliminating a separate display controller on the BOM. Supply range is 1.8 V to 3.6 V over -40 °C to 85 °C.
14 I/O, SPI/UART, and on-chip peripherals
Fourteen general-purpose I/O lines share the package with the LCD segment and common pins. The SPI and UART/USART serial interfaces handle communication to a host processor, RF module, or isolated data link. Brown-out detection and POR are built in, so the reset circuit on the board can be minimal — a pull-up and a decoupling cap are usually enough.
Active lifecycle — no LTB pressure on this BOM line
The MSP430FE4252IPM carries an active product status from TI. No last-time-buy notice or end-of-life announcement has been issued.
