Six 24-bit sigma-delta ADCs — the reason this part exists
The MSP430F67691AIPEUR: Its defining feature is the six independent 24-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converters, purpose-built for polyphase energy metering, power-quality monitoring, and multi-channel precision measurement.
The 128-LQFP package (20x14 mm body) is a common footprint for mid-density I/O designs; the 0.4 mm pitch demands careful PCB routing but is well within standard assembly capability.
Peripheral set for metering and control
Beyond the six sigma-delta ADCs, the device integrates a brown-out detect/reset, DMA controller, PWM timer, watchdog timer, and an internal oscillator — reducing external BOM count. The 8x10-bit auxiliary ADC handles auxiliary measurements (temperature, voltage reference monitoring) without loading the sigma-delta channels. The LCD driver supports segment displays common in utility meters and industrial panels.
