Six 24-bit sigma-delta ADCs — the metering-grade differentiator
The MSP430F6767AIPZ integrates a six-channel 24-bit sigma-delta ADC block for polyphase energy metering and multi-channel industrial sensor acquisition.
256KB Flash, 32K x 8 RAM — sizing the firmware and data budget
With 256KB of program Flash and 32K x 8 of SRAM, this MCU sits in the upper-middle density tier of the MSP430F6xx family. The Flash is sufficient for a full metrology firmware stack with tamper detection, event logging, and multiple communication profiles. The 32K x 8 RAM handles the real-time data buffers from the six sigma-delta ADCs plus the LCD frame buffer, if the on-chip LCD driver is used. For designs that need more data memory, the larger RAM options in the same family are the next step up.
Industrial temperature range and 1.8V–3.6V supply
The supply voltage range of 1.8V to 3.6V lets it run from a single lithium cell or a 3.3V regulated rail, with the brown-out detect and POR supervising the power-up sequence.
100-LQFP package — 62 I/O in a 14x14mm footprint
Housed in a 100-pin LQFP with a 14x14mm body, the MSP430F6767AIPZ provides 62 general-purpose I/O lines. That pin count is enough to bring out the six sigma-delta ADC channels, the LCD segment drive, the serial interfaces, and still leave spare GPIOs for tamper switches, relay drivers, and status LEDs. The LQFP package is hand-solderable for prototyping and rework-friendly with a standard hot-air station.
Texas Instruments lists the MSP430F6767AIPZ with an active product status. No date-code scavenging or broker exposure is needed for a production BOM line today.
