The 4x24b sigma-delta ADC is the headline feature — it samples four simultaneous channels at 24-bit resolution, which is what makes this part a fit for polyphase energy metering or precision weigh-scale front ends. The 512 KB Flash and 32K x 8 RAM are sized for the code and data buffers these applications demand; a smaller Flash part in the same family would force firmware compression or external storage. The 25 MHz clock is fast enough to run the ADC, update the LCD, and handle Modbus or DLMS communication in one loop, but not overkill for a battery-backed meter where every MHz costs power.
