25 MHz MSP430 CPUXV2 with 4x24-bit sigma-delta ADC
The 100-LQFP package (14x14 mm body) brings out 62 I/O lines, with connectivity covering I²C, IrDA, LINbus, SPI, and UART/USART. This is the part for polyphase energy metering, flow sensing, or any application that needs a low-power MCU with high-resolution analog front-end on the same die.
Brown-out detect and POR are on-chip, so the reset supervisor is already accounted for in the BOM.
That means no last-time-buy clock ticking, no end-of-life scramble. For a metering design that may run a decade in the field, this part is still a safe bet for new production. If you are stocking spares or qualifying a second source, the active status simplifies the supply-chain math.
