Metering-grade 16-bit MCU with integrated LCD and sigma-delta ADC
This combination targets polyphase energy metering, industrial instrumentation, and sensor-interface applications where on-chip analog front-end and direct LCD segment drive reduce BOM count.
The 16 KB RAM is organized as 16K x 8, sufficient for real-time waveform analysis or multi-tariff energy logging without external SRAM.
On-chip LCD driver and 4x24b sigma-delta ADC — analog front-end integration
The integrated LCD controller drives up to 196 segments directly, eliminating a separate display driver chip in panel-meter and smart-meter designs. The four 24-bit sigma-delta ADCs enable simultaneous voltage and current sensing on polyphase systems, with the 25 MHz CPUXV2 core handling the DSP math for active/reactive power calculations. An additional 8-channel 10-bit SAR ADC is available for auxiliary measurements like temperature or tamper detection.
62 I/Os and connectivity — interface flexibility
The 100-pin LQFP package brings out 62 general-purpose I/Os. Communication interfaces include I²C, SPI, UART/USART, LINbus, and IrDA, covering the common wired and optical links in energy-meter and industrial-sensor networks. Brown-out detect and POR are on-chip, reducing external supervisor ICs.
Active lifecycle — no EOL risk for new designs
This part qualifies for new production designs and ongoing volume commitments without an obsolescence clock.
