What the 3×24-bit ADC means for the BOM
Three independent 24-bit sigma-delta ADCs let this part sample voltage and two current phases simultaneously — exactly what a polyphase energy meter needs. The 24-bit resolution gives enough dynamic range to handle the wide crest factors of mains current waveforms without an external PGA or gain-switching network. The separate 10-bit SAR ADC on the same die handles neutral current or temperature monitoring, so you don't need a second MCU or an external multiplexer for the housekeeping channel.
