Three 24-bit sigma-delta ADCs — built for polyphase metering
What sets it apart for energy-monitoring designs is the analog front end: three independent 24-bit sigma-delta ADCs (3x24b) plus an 8-channel 10-bit SAR ADC. That ADC array directly supports simultaneous voltage and current sampling on each phase of a three-phase power line, with the 24-bit resolution capturing the dynamic range needed for Class 0.5 or better accuracy.
Program memory is 64 KB of Flash (64K x 8), with 4K x 8 of RAM. For a metering application the Flash holds the calibration constants, metering algorithm, and communication stack; the RAM handles the real-time sample buffers and intermediate math. The 4 KB RAM is tight if you are logging waveform captures — plan for a circular buffer in Flash or an external serial SRAM if you need extended recording.
The integrated LCD driver (up to 160 segments) directly drives the display panel, saving a separate controller.
