The MSP430F6636IPZR: On-chip USB 2.0, I²C, SPI, UART, IrDA, and LINbus in a single 100-LQFP package. That saves a board rev versus an older MSP430F5xx that needed a separate USB PHY or an FTDI chip. The 74 I/O lines give you enough for a parallel LCD interface plus a handful of pushbuttons and LEDs.
