Core and memory — 20 MHz CPUXV2 with 128 KB flash
Built around the 16-bit MSP430 CPUXV2 RISC core clocked at 20 MHz. The hardware multiplier and DMA controller offload data movement from the CPU, keeping throughput available for the application loop. 128 KB on-chip flash (128K x 8) with 18 KB SRAM (18K x 8). The flash is organised for byte/word write and sector erase — budget sector-erase time into any field firmware update routine.
Connectivity and peripheral set — USB 2.0 plus serial
Integrates a USB 2.0 full-speed module alongside I²C, SPI, UART/USART, IrDA, and LINbus. The USB PHY and transceiver are on-chip; no external USB controller is needed for data-logging or HID-class endpoints.
