On-chip data converters and LCD driver — BOM consolidation
The integrated 12-bit ADC with 16 multiplexed channels and dual 12-bit DACs cover most sensor readout and analog-output needs for instrumentation and control applications. The LCD driver supports segment-type displays common in handheld meters and panel indicators, offloading the CPU via the DMA controller. Brown-out detection and a programmable watchdog timer add the supervision logic that would otherwise require an external supervisor IC.
