25 MHz MSP430 CPUXV2 — what the core delivers
The 16-bit RISC architecture keeps interrupt latency deterministic — useful for the kind of real-time sensor polling and PWM generation this part was designed for.
80-BGA MICROSTAR JUNIOR — the footprint reality
This part comes in an 80-ball BGA, supplier device package 80-BGA MICROSTAR JUNIOR measuring 5x5 mm. That is a fine-pitch BGA — the balls are small and the escape routing needs micro-vias or at least a tight via-in-pad layout if you are on a standard 4-layer board.
TI has stopped production — there is no last-time-buy window still open. For a new design, this part is not an option unless you are locked into a field-replacement or repair BOM that cannot change the MCU.
We source it through our independent supply network — verified inventory from surplus stock, broker channels, and overstock from OEM contract manufacturers. No stock-keeping promise is possible on an obsolete part; the procurement decision is whether the BOM line justifies the premium and the supply risk of a finite pool.
