8KB Flash, 1KB RAM, 25MHz CPUXV2 — the firmware envelope
The MSP430F5132IRSBR runs a 16-bit MSP430 CPUXV2 core at 25 MHz. On-chip program memory is 8 KB of Flash, with 1 KB of RAM. That Flash footprint must hold both the application binary and any bootloader resident — step through the boot ROM to confirm how many Flash sectors the TI-supplied BSL occupies before committing the linker script.
Supply rail, analog conversion, and serial interfaces
Serial connectivity covers I²C, SPI, UART/USART, and IrDA — enough to talk to a radio module, a sensor hub, and a debug UART simultaneously. With 31 general-purpose I/O in the 40-pin QFN, every peripheral interface has dedicated pins without sharing, which simplifies the board layout and firmware pin-mux setup.
