Operating supply is 1.8 V to 3.6 V, so the MCU runs directly from two alkaline cells or a single Li-ion without a regulator — a real advantage for portable equipment where every milliwatt counts. The industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C covers outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor HMI panels, and automotive cabin environments, but not under-hood or downhole applications.

DMA moves data between ADC, memory, and LCD without CPU intervention, keeping the 8 MHz core free for protocol handling and UI logic.
Packaging and mounting
Housed in an 80-lead LQFP (12x12 mm body), surface-mount. The 48 I/O lines give plenty of headroom for a parallel LCD data bus, keypad matrix, and sensor inputs in a single-layer routing board.
