The MSP430F437IPZR is a 16-bit MCU from the MSP430x4xx family, built around the MSP430 CPU16 core running at 8 MHz. On-chip peripherals include a brown-out detect, POR, PWM timer, watchdog timer, and an integrated LCD driver that directly drives segmented glass panels — a common requirement for panel meters, flow totalizers, and medical displays.
Industrial temperature and supply range
The internal oscillator eliminates an external crystal for many applications, though the UART and ADC timing may still benefit from an external clock source for precision.
