16-bit core with integrated LCD drive
The MSP430F4371IPNR is a 16-bit microcontroller from the MSP430x4xx family, built around the MSP430 CPU16 core running at 8 MHz. A standout peripheral is the integrated LCD controller, which drives segment LCD panels directly without an external driver chip. This, combined with 48 general-purpose I/O lines and SPI/UART connectivity, makes it a natural fit for handheld instruments, utility meters, and human-machine interfaces where low power and a local display are required.
On-chip peripherals include a brown-out reset and power-on reset, plus a watchdog timer and PWM outputs — the basic supervisory and timing blocks are built in, reducing external component count.
The supplier device package is 80-LQFP (12x12). Available in tape-and-reel or cut-tape options, it integrates into standard pick-and-place assembly lines without special handling.
