8 KB Flash and 1 KB SRAM — sizing the firmware budget
With 8 KB of Flash (8K x 8 plus 256 B) and 1 KB of SRAM, this MCU targets single-function control loops, data logging, and protocol bridging — not application-level stacks. The Slope A/D converter handles slow analog inputs without an external ADC, though it trades resolution for simplicity. If your firmware needs more than a few kilobytes of code space or a real SAR ADC, you will want to look up the density ladder in the MSP430F2xx family.
