The MSP430F2252IRHAT runs a 16-bit MSP430 CPU16 core at 16 MHz, with 16 KB of on-chip Flash and 512 bytes of RAM. That RAM footprint is tight — enough for a small control loop, a few sensor readings, and a serial buffer, but not a full RTOS heap. The 16 KB Flash holds the application code plus 256 bytes of information memory for calibration constants or unique IDs. The brown-out detect and POR circuits mean the reset supervisor is built in; the PWM outputs can drive small loads directly or feed a gate driver.
40-VQFN package — rework-friendly if you respect the thermal pad
