The MSP430F2232TRHAR is a 16-bit microcontroller from TI's MSP430F2xx family, built around the MSP430 CPU16 core clocked at 16 MHz. It packs 8 KB of program flash and 512 bytes of RAM — enough for small-footprint firmware handling sensor fusion, simple control loops, or communication protocol stacks. Twelve 10-bit ADC channels on the A/D converter let it sample multiple analog inputs without an external mux, which simplifies the front-end for temperature, pressure, or current-sense applications.
On-chip peripherals include brown-out detect/reset (BOR), power-on reset (POR), a PWM timer, and a watchdog timer — these reduce the external supervisory IC count on a 2-layer board. Serial interfaces cover I²C, SPI, UART/USART, IrDA, and LINbus, so the part can talk to common sensor modules, displays, or a LIN transceiver in an automotive sub-system.
