16 MHz MSP430 core with 2 KB Flash — what the memory budget means
That 2 KB Flash is tight — think a single sensor node reading one analog channel and toggling a GPIO, not a multi-protocol stack. The 128-byte RAM forces register-centric coding; any significant buffer lives in Flash or is processed on the fly. It is aimed at ultra-low-power sensing, metering, and control applications where every microamp and square millimeter counts.

Package and footprint — 14-TSSOP
Supplied in a 14-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width, 0.173" body), surface-mount only. The 14-pin count keeps the board footprint small, but the 0.65 mm pitch calls for careful soldering — a standard reflow profile with a 0.15 mm stencil works. No exposed thermal pad; dissipation is through the leads, so keep the ambient below 105°C if running the core at full speed.
