16 MHz MSP430 core for tight power budgets
The on-chip 8-channel 10-bit ADC reads analog signals directly, and the I²C and SPI serial interfaces connect to external sensors or memory without glue logic.
ROHS3 compliant. For dual-sourcing flexibility, the MSP430F2013IRSAT is a pin-compatible sibling with the same 16 MHz core and package but a 10-channel 16-bit ADC — a drop-in upgrade if higher ADC resolution is needed. The MSP430F2012TRSAT extends the temperature range to 105°C, useful for hotter environments.
Memory sizing: 1 KB Flash, 128 B RAM
With only 1 KB of Flash and 128 bytes of RAM, firmware must be tight — this is a part for a single control loop, a few sensor reads, and a serial handshake, not for a protocol stack or data buffer. The 256-byte information memory (part of the Flash array) is useful for calibration constants or configuration parameters that survive power cycles.
