On-chip data converters include an 8-channel 12-bit ADC and a 2-channel 12-bit DAC, eliminating external analog front-end parts for voltage monitoring and analog output loops. The 8 MHz core speed sets the instruction throughput ceiling — for a control loop sampling eight ADC channels at 1 kHz each, the CPU spends roughly 15% of its cycles on conversion and DMA transfer, leaving the rest for application logic.
