Mixed-signal 16-bit MCU with on-chip ADC and DAC
The MSP430F1610IPMR is a 16-bit MSP430 CPU16 microcontroller from the MSP430x1xx series, clocked at 8 MHz. On-chip data converters include an 8-channel 12-bit ADC and dual 12-bit DAC, so a single chip handles analog input acquisition and analog output generation without external converters. Peripherals such as brown-out detect, POR, DMA, PWM, and WDT reduce the external supervisor and timing IC count on the board.
Package, I/O, and connectivity for board integration
Housed in a 64-LQFP (10x10 mm) package, the MSP430F1610IPMR provides 48 I/O lines for interfacing with sensors, actuators, and displays. The surface-mount LQFP footprint is a common layout with good thermal dissipation for moderate I/O counts.
No pin-compatible second-source or official successor is recorded in the MSP430x1xx family — the BOM line is single-sourced to this TI order code.
