16-bit MSP430 with 48 KB Flash — what this chip is for
It runs at 8 MHz and packs 48 KB of program Flash with 2K x 8 bytes of RAM, plus a 12-bit ADC with eight multiplexed channels. Designed for battery-operated and industrial sensor applications, it also includes POR, PWM, and WDT peripherals, and communicates over SPI and UART/USART interfaces.
48 I/O and 8-channel ADC — sensor interface fit
With 48 general-purpose I/O lines and an eight-channel 12-bit ADC, the MSP430F148IPMR can directly digitize multiple analog sensor inputs — thermistors, strain gauges, current shunts — without an external converter.
