8 MHz 16-bit core with 4KB Flash — what this MSP430 variant is
The MSP430F1121AIRGET: It runs at 8 MHz and packs 4KB of Flash program memory with 256 bytes of RAM — a configuration aimed at low-power sensor interfaces, simple control loops, and battery-powered instrumentation where every microamp matters. On-chip peripherals include a power-on reset (POR), watchdog timer (WDT), and a slope A/D converter — enough for basic analog sensing without an external ADC. The 14 general-purpose I/O lines and internal oscillator keep the BOM lean for applications like temperature monitors, occupancy detectors, or simple keypad controllers.
It remains a safe line-item for production builds and new designs that do not need more than 4KB of code space. ROHS3 compliant, no special environmental restrictions beyond standard lead-free assembly.
