It runs at 8 MHz with an internal oscillator, delivering enough throughput for low-duty-cycle sensor readout, simple control loops, and battery-monitoring tasks where every microamp matters. The 1 KB Flash program memory and 128 x 8 RAM footprint force a disciplined firmware layout — no room for a full RTOS or large lookup tables.
On-chip peripherals and memory type
Program memory is Flash, which supports in-system reprogramming for firmware updates during development or field service. The integrated POR and WDT peripherals reduce external component count for reset and watchdog supervision. The slope A/D converter provides a single-channel analog input without needing an external ADC — adequate for thermistor or potentiometer readout at moderate update rates.
It is RoHS3 compliant.
