16-bit MSP430 with integrated LCD drive
The Texas Instruments MSP430A048IPM is a 16-bit ultra-low-power MCU from the MSP430x4xx family, built around the MSP430 core and clocked at 8 MHz. The part integrates a segmented-LCD driver, a slope A/D converter, and a brown-out detect/reset and watchdog timer — enough peripheral set to run a battery-powered metering or sensor-display panel without external glue logic.
Internal oscillator is available.
64-LQFP footprint and I/O count
With 48 I/O lines available, the part can drive a 4x32 segmented LCD, read a membrane keypad, and still leave pins for UART, SPI, or I²C communication to external sensors or a wireless module.
