40-VQFN package with exposed thermal pad
The MCT8316Z0RQRGFRQ1 comes in a 40-VFQFN Exposed Pad package (supplier package 40-VQFN 7x5 mm). The exposed pad is the primary thermal path — the PCB layout must connect it to a copper plane with sufficient vias to keep the junction below 125°C at 8A peak output.
8A peak BLDC drive with SPI diagnostics
This is a fully integrated BLDC motor driver — the control logic and NMOS power stage are on the same die, so the BOM needs no external gate drivers or pre-driver. Three half-bridge outputs handle up to 8A peak at 4.5V to 35V supply, covering 12V and 24V automotive brushless DC motors for pumps, fans, and actuators. The SPI interface gives the host MCU register-level access to configuration, fault flags, and current-sense feedback — no separate ADC channels needed for motor current monitoring.
Automotive temperature grade and AEC-Q100
Rated Automotive grade and qualified to AEC-Q100, the device operates from -40°C to 125°C ambient. This covers under-hood and cabin-mounted BLDC applications where the PCB sees conducted heat from the motor or engine bay.
