Charge pump at 25 kHz — 100 mA, positive or negative rail
The LT1054IDW is a switched-capacitor voltage converter that delivers up to 100 mA from a 3.5 V to 15 V input. It generates either a regulated positive output up to 26.4 V or a negative rail down to -Vin, depending on the external diode and capacitor configuration — no inductor needed for the basic step-up or inverter topology. Switching at a fixed 25 kHz, the charge pump uses external pump capacitors sized for that frequency — larger caps reduce ripple but increase startup time. The output is adjustable via a resistor divider from the sense pin, with a fixed minimum of 3.5 V (-Vin, 2Vin) depending on the mode. No synchronous rectifier is integrated, so the external Schottky diode's forward drop and reverse recovery directly affect efficiency at the 100 mA ceiling. A fast-recovery diode with Vf below 0.5 V at 100 mA keeps conduction losses manageable.
Industrial temperature range and SOIC-16 footprint
The 16-SOIC wide-body package (7.50 mm width) provides adequate copper area for heat sinking the 100 mA load without forced airflow. Surface-mount assembly on a standard SOIC-16 footprint — the 0.295-inch body width matches the common wide SOIC land pattern. Tube packaging means the parts arrive in anti-static tubes for pick-and-place or hand assembly; no reel fee for low-volume builds.
