AEC-Q100 Grade and Temperature Range
The LP5907QMFX-3.0Q1 is an AEC-Q100 qualified LDO — that means it passed the full automotive reliability stress suite (temperature cycling, ESD, latch-up, and extended life testing) and comes with PPAP documentation an OEM auditor will accept.
PSRR and Noise Rejection for Sensor Rails
Power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) is 90 dB at 100 Hz, rolling off to 60 dB at 100 kHz. That 90 dB at low frequency means it attenuates 100 mV of 100 Hz ripple from an upstream switching regulator down to roughly 3 µV at the output — critical for powering analog sensor front-ends or the analog supply pin of a microcontroller where ripple couples into the ADC reference. The 25 µA quiescent current makes it viable for always-on circuits in automotive body controllers or keyless-entry modules where the regulator stays powered while the rest of the system sleeps.
Dropout Voltage and Input Rail Budget
Maximum dropout voltage is 0.25 V at 250 mA output. With a nominal 3.3 V supply, the headroom is only 50 mV — marginal; a 5 V rail or a 3.6 V pre-regulator gives comfortable margin. Output current is rated 250 mA continuous, with over-temperature and short-circuit protection built in. The single fixed output is 3.0 V, and the enable pin allows the regulator to be gated by a system power-good signal.
Package and Footprint for Compact Layouts
Housed in a SOT-23-5 package (SC-74A), the LP5907QMFX-3.0Q1 occupies roughly 3 mm × 3 mm of board area. The small footprint suits space-constrained ECUs or sensor modules where every square millimeter counts. Surface-mount assembly is standard reflow; no special handling beyond normal MSL precautions.
