Linear LED driver with single-wire dimming — what it delivers
The Texas Instruments LP5560TME/NOPB is a linear LED driver that sinks a fixed 19.5mA per channel from a single output, controlled through a single-wire digital interface. It operates from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply, making it a direct fit for 3.3V or 5V rails in portable or indicator-light applications. The single-wire dimming protocol lets you set brightness without a PWM timer pin — useful on GPIO-constrained microcontrollers.
Supply voltage and output current — fit check
The 2.7V minimum supply means it runs from a single Li-ion cell near end-of-discharge; the 5.5V maximum covers 5V logic rails with margin. Output current is factory-set at 19.5mA — no external resistor needed for current setting. If your LED forward voltage plus headroom exceeds the supply rail at the programmed current, the linear topology will drop out; plan for at least 200mV of overhead above the LED Vf at 19.5mA.
Package and mounting
