12-channel boost LED driver with digital dimming
The LP55281TLX/NOPB: Each of the 12 channels sinks up to 40 mA, and the output voltage is regulated between 4V and 5.3V to match the forward voltage of the LED string. Dimming is handled digitally via I²C or SPI bus, so the host processor can set individual channel brightness without external PWM generators. The 2 MHz switching frequency keeps the external inductor small enough for a compact backlight board.
Supplied in a 36-bump WFBGA or DSBGA package (0.5 mm pitch typical for this class), the LP55281TLX/NOPB requires a surface-mount reflow profile suited to lead-free solder. The internal switch is integrated (no external FET needed), so the BOM stays lean: one boost inductor, input/output caps, and the LED current-set resistors per channel. ROHS3 compliant per.
