300 mA LDO with 0.2 V dropout and 50 dB PSRR
The LP3981IMMX-2.5/NOPB is a fixed 2.5 V output linear regulator from Texas Instruments, delivering up to 300 mA. Power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) is 50 dB to 55 dB from 1 kHz to 10 kHz, which attenuates switching-converter ripple by a factor of 300–560×. For a 10 mVpp ripple at 1 kHz, the output sees roughly 18 µVpp — clean enough for sensitive analog front-ends.
Industrial temperature range and protection suite
The -40°C to 125°C operating temperature range covers automotive under-hood and industrial enclosure environments without derating. Over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection are built in — the regulator survives a sustained output short without damage. Quiescent current is 120 µA typical, rising to 210 µA maximum under full load. The enable pin lets the system shut down the regulator to near-zero draw when the load is idle — useful for battery-powered designs that sleep between active cycles.
