The LP2987AILD-5.0/NOPB is a single-output positive linear regulator from Texas Instruments, delivering a fixed 5V output at up to 200mA.

PSRR and noise-sensitive loads

Power supply rejection ratio is 65dB at 1kHz — this attenuates 100mV of ripple on the input to roughly 56µV at the output, making the part suitable for powering analog front-ends, ADC reference buffers, or sensor bias rails where supply noise couples into the signal path. The quiescent current is 120µA typical, rising to 3.7mA maximum under heavy load; the 120µA Iq keeps the regulator's own draw low in always-on or battery-backed applications.

Temperature grade and protection

The Enable pin allows external on/off control, useful for sequencing multiple rails or reducing system power in standby.

Supplied in an 8-WDFN exposed pad package (supplier device package 8-WSON, 4x4mm), the part mounts on a surface-mount board.
