200 mA LDO with 65 dB PSRR and 0.35 V dropout
The LP2986AILD-3.3/NOPB: The 0.35 V maximum dropout at full load means the input rail needs only 3.65 V to maintain regulation — useful when the supply is a 3.7 V Li-ion cell near its end-of-discharge voltage. The 65 dB PSRR at 1 kHz tells you how much ripple the regulator rejects from the input. For a 100 mVpp ripple at 1 kHz, the output sees about 56 µVpp — the regulator cleans up a noisy bus before it reaches sensitive analog or RF loads.
Industrial temperature range and protection suite
The 120 µA quiescent current keeps the battery drain low in always-on systems. Built-in over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection means the regulator survives a fault on the output without latching up or burning the pass element. The Enable pin lets a microcontroller or supervisor gate the output — pulling it low drops the supply current to near zero. Input voltage range goes up to 16 V, so it tolerates a 12 V rail with transients without needing a pre-regulator. The 3.7 mA maximum supply current is the total drawn from the input when the output is unloaded — the load current adds on top of that.
Package and board-fit: 8-WSON with exposed pad
Housed in an 8-WDFN exposed pad package (also marked as 8-WSON 4x4 mm), the LP2986AILD-3.3/NOPB requires a surface-mount assembly process.
Active production and compliance
It is RoHS3 compliant, so it passes the EU material restrictions without an exemption.
