150 mA LDO, 1.8 V fixed — analog rail regulator
The LP2985AIM5-1.8/NOPB is a 150 mA low-dropout linear regulator with a fixed 1.8 V output, built for powering noise-sensitive analog supply rails in industrial and portable equipment. It operates from a 16 V maximum input and delivers 45 dB of PSRR at 1 kHz — enough rejection to keep switching-regulator ripple off a precision ADC or op-amp supply.
Dropout, quiescent current, and protection
Maximum dropout voltage is 0.58 V at 150 mA load — the input rail must stay at least that far above 1.8 V across the full load range to maintain regulation. Quiescent current is 95 µA typical, rising to 2.5 mA max under supply — a reasonable idle draw for a fixed-output LDO that stays enabled continuously. Built-in protection covers over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit events, so the part survives a faulted output without external clamp diodes.
