Fixed 5V rail for 100mA loads
The LP2950-50LPRE3 outputs a fixed 5V and is rated for 100mA continuous output.
Dropout headroom and input range
Maximum dropout voltage is 0.6V at 100mA, so the input must stay above 5.6V to maintain regulation at full load. The maximum input is 30V, giving flexibility for unregulated supplies or battery inputs. Quiescent current is 120 µA typical, and supply current maxes at 14 mA — low enough for always-on or battery-backed applications where idle draw matters.
Temperature range and protection
Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection guard against output shorts or thermal runaway.
