Logarithmic amplifier for wide-dynamic-range signal conditioning
The LOG114AIRGVT: It converts input currents or voltages over multiple decades into a linearized output voltage, making it the natural choice for photodiode front-ends, optical power monitoring, and any application where the signal spans a wide dynamic range. The -3 dB bandwidth is 5 MHz and the slew rate is 5 V/µs, so it handles modulated optical signals up into the low-MHz region without losing the log conformance. Input bias current is 5 pA, which keeps the error negligible when working with photodiode currents in the nanoamp range.
Supply range, offset, and output drive
The LOG114AIRGVT operates from a single supply spanning 4.8 V to 11 V. Input offset voltage is 100 µV. Supply current is 10 mA.
