Temperature grade: cabin and chassis-adjacent, not under-hood
It does not extend to the 125°C or 150°C required for under-hood or transmission-mounted electronics. Capable is not qualified; the AEC-Q100 listing here is for the grade-2 temperature class.
5.6 MHz GBW at 300 µA — the power-budget trade-off
The 5.6 MHz gain-bandwidth product paired with 300 µA supply current places the LMV821M7 in a sweet spot for battery-sensitive automotive modules that still need moderate bandwidth. The 2 V/µs slew rate supports signals up to roughly 500 kHz at full output swing before slew-rate limiting becomes a concern. Input offset voltage is specified at 1 mV — adequate for DC-accurate sensing loops where the signal is in the tens of millivolts or above. The 45 mA output drive per channel can swing a typical ADC input or drive a small relay coil through a current-limiting resistor.
SC-70-5 footprint and supply rails
The LMV821M7 comes in the SC-70-5 package (also known as SOT-353), a 5-pin surface-mount package with 0.65 mm pitch. The single-channel configuration means one part per signal path — no wasted channels that complicate a layout.
Lifecycle and sourcing
The RoHS compliance status is listed as non-compliant — verify your assembly's exemption or waiver requirements before committing the BOM line.
