5 MHz dual op-amp with differential rail-to-rail output
The output stage is differential and rail-to-rail, which suits driving differential-input ADCs or transmitting signals over twisted-pair lines in industrial sensor interfaces. Input bias current is just 0.6 pA, making it viable for high-impedance sources such as photodiode preamps or pH probe buffers.
The 2.7 V minimum supply lets this op-amp run from two alkaline cells or a Li-ion battery near end-of-discharge, while the 5 V maximum covers standard 5 V logic rails. Each channel can source or sink 41 mA, enough to drive a modest headphone or a 50 Ω line with reduced swing. The differential output architecture means the two outputs are complementary — useful for converting a single-ended signal to a balanced pair without an external inverter.
The 8-VSSOP body measures 3.00 mm × 3.00 mm, saving board area in multi-channel designs. The same footprint accepts standard MSOP-8, easing supply flexibility if a second-source MSOP-8 op-amp is qualified.
Lifecycle and compliance
Note that it is listed as RoHS non-compliant. This restricts use in new EU-market products unless a specific exemption (e.g., for lead in high-reliability solder) applies. Legacy designs with a RoHS waiver can continue using this part without requalification.
