3 MHz switching buys you small passives
The LMR10510YMF/NOPB is a SIMPLE SWITCHER® step-down converter switching at 3 MHz — that switching frequency lets you use smaller inductors and output capacitors than a 500 kHz part, shrinking the total footprint on a space-constrained board. The non-synchronous topology means you need an external Schottky catch diode — the inductor current freewheels through that diode, not an internal FET.
SOT-23-5 — what the package tells the rework bench
Housed in a SOT-23-5 (SC-74A) package, the part sits on a 5-pin footprint with 0.95 mm pitch. That pitch is wide enough for a standard fine-tip iron or hot-air pencil — no micro-BGA rework station needed.
