2 GHz fan-out buffer for high-speed clock trees
The Texas Instruments LMK1D1208IRHAT is a 2:8 clock buffer that accepts CML, HCSL, LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and delivers eight LVDS outputs at up to 2 GHz. It runs from a 1.71V–1.89V, 2.375V–2.625V, or 3.135V–3.465V supply rail, making it a drop-in for 1.8V, 2.5V, or 3.3V clock distribution networks. The 40-VQFN (6x6 mm) package with exposed pad helps pull heat out in dense telecom or data-center line cards.
Triple supply — one part for multi-voltage boards
The three supply ranges (1.71V–1.89V, 2.375V–2.625V, 3.135V–3.465V) cover the common clock-rail voltages. A board that mixes 1.8V SerDes and 2.5V FPGA banks can use the same buffer across both domains, reducing line-item count. The 2:8 input-to-output ratio means two clock sources can feed eight loads, handy for fanning a reference clock to multiple ASICs or PHYs.
